Changes at Nordstrom’s Ala Moana Center store aren’t limited to a new location. The company is also planning to add two new restaurants.
Nordstrom has not made an official announcement, but it filed for two restaurant general licenses with the Honolulu Liquor Commission.
The restaurants would be new to Honolulu, thought they are in other Nordstrom stores on the mainland.
One is for Habitant, which is described as a casual lounge where customers can enjoy a light snack, glass of wine or handcrafted cocktail. It features a full bar with regionally inspired wines and a menu of freshly prepared salads, sandwiches and sides.
It would be located on Nordstrom’s second floor.
The other is for Ruscello, a full-service restaurant featuring Mediterranean and Italian-inspired cuisine. According to Nordstrom’s website, customers can also enjoy food and drinks in the bar area.
It would be located on Nordstrom’s third floor.
A preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, Aug. 20.
